What is it and how does it work?Titan Schub
Work, stress, too little sleep: many men look for a simple way to round out their diet. Titan Schub (also written "TitanSchub") is a dietary supplement in capsules, offered on its official website for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Each bottle holds 60 capsules and lasts 60 days at one capsule a day. The formula combines two amino acids (L-citrulline and L-carnitine), four plant extracts (pine bark, maca, grape skin, saffron), zinc and vitamin B3. According to the label, Titan Schub is made in the USA from domestic and imported ingredients and distributed by GP Lever (Aurora, Colorado); the sales page, on the other hand, says it is made in Germany.
Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood. Niacin contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.2
These are the two health claims authorised in the European Union that also appear on the label. No claim is authorised for the amino acids or the plant extracts: claims for plants are "on hold" in the official EU register1. That is why we do not repeat the performance promises of the sales page, and no study has been published on Titan Schub itself.
Let's be realistic: no supplement guarantees a result. Age, sleep, diet, exercise and overall health all play a big part, and every man responds differently.
The formula
Tap an ingredient to see its dose. The label gives the amount of each ingredient per capsule and, for zinc and niacin, the % NRV3. Good to know: the sales page text also mentions L-arginine and ashwagandha, which are not on the label; we stick to the label4.
- L-citrulline – 150 mg: An amino acid found in watermelon, among other foods. The body converts it into L-arginine, which is used to make nitric oxide.
- L-carnitine – 150 mg: A compound the body uses to burn fats for energy, often included in energy formulas.
- Pine bark extract – 100 mg: From the bark of the maritime pine, a source of polyphenols, plant compounds with antioxidant properties.
- Maca root extract – 50 mg: A plant from the Peruvian Andes, long eaten as a food and very common in supplements for men.
- Vitamin B3 (as niacin) – 20 mg: Niacin contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue (claim authorised in the EU).
- Grape skin extract – 15 mg: From the skins of grapes, also rich in polyphenols.
- Zinc (as zinc oxide) – 11 mg: Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood (claim authorised in the EU).
- Saffron stigma extract – 5 mg: Taken from the threads of the saffron crocus, one of the most prized spices in the world.
The full ingredient list on the label (in German) reads: L-citrulline, L-carnitine, coating agent hypromellose, pine (Pinus pinaster) bark extract, maca (Lepidium meyenii) root extract, vitamin B3 (as niacin), bulking agent (microcrystalline cellulose), anti-caking agents (magnesium salts of fatty acids, silicon dioxide), grape (Vitis vinifera) skin extract, zinc (as zinc oxide), saffron (Crocus sativus) stigma extract.
Dosage and useOne a day
Directions on the label: adults take one (1) capsule a day, with a large glass of water according to the official website. Do not exceed the recommended dose. A bottle of 60 capsules therefore lasts 60 days, even though the order page calls it a 30-day supply.
- Take the capsule every day, ideally at the same time
- Swallow it with a large glass of water
- Eat a varied, balanced diet
- Stay active and get enough sleep
- Store the bottle in a cool, dry place below 30 °C
- Do not use if the safety seal is damaged or missing
Dietary supplements are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of the reach of children.
Side effectsIs it safe?
The ingredients in Titan Schub are common in dietary supplements and are usually well tolerated. Digestive upset, intolerances or allergic reactions are still possible: if that happens, stop taking it and ask a doctor for advice.
According to the label, the product is not suitable for people under 18 or for pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you take medication, have a health condition or are under medical supervision, talk to your doctor before taking it. L-citrulline may interact with blood pressure medicines and erectile dysfunction drugs.
Do not exceed the daily dose: one capsule already provides 110% of the NRV for zinc and 125% for niacin, which is worth keeping in mind if you combine it with another supplement. Titan Schub is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Is Titan Schub a scam? The facts
Before buying a men's supplement online, it makes sense to look closely at the offer. The market is full of exaggerated promises, and the Titan Schub sales page makes very enthusiastic claims that we do not repeat. What matters is what is in the bottle: a dietary supplement with a fully dosed label, not a medicine.
What is reassuring
- Detailed label with the dose of all 8 ingredients
- EU-authorised claims for zinc and niacin
- 90-day money-back guarantee, even for empty bottles
- One-time payment through Digistore24, no hidden subscription
Good to know
- The sales page mentions L-arginine and ashwagandha; the label does not
- Country of manufacture: USA on the label, Germany on the website
- The doses are far below those used in studies
- No study has been published on Titan Schub itself
- Results vary from person to person
Our verdict: Titan Schub is not a scam in the sense of a product that never arrives or an unsafe payment: the label is complete, payment goes through Digistore24 and the guarantee is in writing. But it is a dietary supplement, not a treatment, and it does not replace a balanced diet or medical advice. If you want to try it, order from the official website so the guarantee applies.

Studies cited
For each ingredient, we list two studies found in the scientific literature. The summaries describe what each study measured and found. They do not promise results: most of these studies are small or short, used doses different from those in Titan Schub, and some found no effect.
L-citrulline
Single-blind study in 24 men with mild erectile dysfunction (average age 56): one month of placebo, then one month of 1.5 g of L-citrulline a day. Erection hardness reached the normal score in 12 of 24 men with L-citrulline, against 2 of 24 with placebo.
Limitation: Small study, not randomised, one month only; 1.5 g a day is ten times the 150 mg of L-citrulline in a Titan Schub capsule.
Cormio L, De Siati M, Lorusso F, et al. Urology. 2011;77(1):119-22. PMID 21195829 · Read on PubMed
Systematic review and meta-analysis of 10 placebo-controlled studies on citrulline and aerobic exercise. Citrulline did not improve aerobic performance, perceived exertion, oxygen uptake or lactate.
Limitation: Negative result for performance; the studies used several grams of citrulline a day, far more than the 150 mg in Titan Schub.

L-carnitine
Randomised, placebo-controlled trial in 120 men aged 60 to 74 with symptoms of male ageing, over six months. Propionyl-L-carnitine plus acetyl-L-carnitine (2 g each a day) improved erectile function scores, mood and fatigue compared with placebo; testosterone levels did not change.
Limitation: It used other forms of carnitine (propionyl- and acetyl-L-carnitine), 4 g a day in total: more than 25 times the 150 mg of L-carnitine in Titan Schub. The effect faded after stopping.

Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 66 centenarians with fatigue after slight physical activity. 2 g of L-carnitine a day reduced physical and mental fatigue and increased muscle mass compared with placebo.
Limitation: Very specific population (people over 100); 2 g a day is more than 13 times the 150 mg of L-carnitine in Titan Schub.

Maritime pine bark extract
Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial in 50 men with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction. One month of a combination of French maritime pine bark extract (Pycnogenol) and L-arginine aspartate. Erectile function and intercourse frequency improved, and blood testosterone rose.
Limitation: The extract was combined with L-arginine, which Titan Schub does not contain, so this study says nothing about pine bark on its own; short study with diary-based outcomes.

Randomised, blinded, placebo-controlled study in 53 men with erectile dysfunction, 32 of them with diabetes, over three months. Pine bark extract (Pycnogenol) alone improved erectile function scores (IIEF-5) and lowered cholesterol; placebo had no effect.
Limitation: Small study with a specific branded extract (Pycnogenol); the PubMed summary does not give the dose, so it cannot be compared with the 100 mg of pine bark extract in Titan Schub.

Maca root extract
Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in healthy men aged 21 to 56, over 12 weeks. 1,500 mg or 3,000 mg of gelatinised maca. Self-reported sexual desire improved from week 8; testosterone and oestradiol did not differ from placebo.
Limitation: Self-reported outcome; 1.5 to 3 g of maca a day is 30 to 60 times the 50 mg of maca extract in Titan Schub (the label does not give the extract ratio).

Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 80 men with late-onset hypogonadism symptoms and normal testosterone. 1,000 mg three times a day for 12 weeks. Scores for ageing-male symptoms, erectile function (IIEF) and urinary symptoms (IPSS) improved more than with placebo.
Limitation: Questionnaire-based outcomes; 3 g a day is 60 times the 50 mg of maca extract in Titan Schub.

Vitamin B3 (niacin)
Randomised, placebo-controlled trial in 160 men with erectile dysfunction and high blood lipids, over 12 weeks, with up to 1,500 mg of niacin a day. Erectile function improved in men with moderate or severe dysfunction; there was no improvement in mild cases.
Limitation: Pharmacological dose of up to 1,500 mg a day, about 75 times the 20 mg of niacin in a Titan Schub capsule; the placebo group also improved.

Population study of 3,184 American adults (NHANES 2001-2004). Men with the highest dietary niacin intake were less likely to report erectile dysfunction than those with the lowest intake.
Limitation: Observational study, not a trial: it shows an association, not cause and effect, and it looked at niacin from food, not from supplements like Titan Schub.

Grape skin extract
Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial in 24 men with metabolic syndrome. 30 days of a freeze-dried grape polyphenol powder lowered systolic blood pressure and improved the dilation of the arteries (flow-mediated dilation).
Limitation: Whole-grape powder, not a skin extract, and it measured blood vessels, not sexual function or energy; Titan Schub contains 15 mg of grape skin extract.

Randomised, placebo-controlled trial in 66 middle-aged men with metabolic syndrome, over four months. Resveratrol, a polyphenol found in grape skin, at 150 mg or 1,000 mg a day, did not change testosterone, free testosterone or DHT.
Limitation: Negative result; it tested isolated resveratrol, not grape skin extract. The whole 15 mg of grape skin extract in Titan Schub is a tenth of the lower resveratrol dose studied.

Zinc
Study in healthy men. Restricting dietary zinc for 20 weeks lowered testosterone in 4 young men, and three to six months of zinc in 9 older men with a marginal deficiency raised it.
Limitation: Very small groups without placebo; the effect concerns men with a zinc deficiency. A Titan Schub capsule provides 11 mg of zinc (110% of the NRV).

Study in 14 healthy, active men aged 22 to 33 with enough zinc in their diet. A high-dose zinc supplement raised blood zinc but did not change total or free testosterone.
Limitation: Negative result in men without a deficiency; small group, and a high-dose supplement, above the 11 mg of zinc in Titan Schub.

Saffron extract
Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 36 men whose antidepressant (fluoxetine) affected their sex life. 15 mg of saffron twice a day for four weeks improved erectile function and intercourse satisfaction more than placebo; desire and orgasm did not differ.
Limitation: Small, four-week study in a specific group (men taking fluoxetine); 30 mg a day is six times the 5 mg of saffron extract in Titan Schub.
Modabbernia A, Sohrabi H, Nasehi AA, et al. Psychopharmacology (Berl). 2012;223(4):381-8. PMID 22552758 · Read on PubMed
Randomised, open-label crossover study in 346 men with erectile dysfunction. 30 mg of saffron twice a day for 12 weeks brought no significant improvement in erectile function scores; the authors concluded the results do not support a benefit of saffron.
Limitation: Negative result in a large study; it was open-label and compared saffron with sildenafil, without a blinded placebo. 60 mg a day is 12 times the 5 mg of saffron extract in Titan Schub.
