What is it and how does it work?EloMaas
Less energy than you used to have, less drive, the feeling that you have lost a bit of your edge: with age and stress, plenty of men recognise themselves here. EloMaas is a dietary supplement made for them, built on a broad formula rather than a single star ingredient.
The idea is simple: two capsules a day, bringing together twelve plants and actives (including hawthorn, horny goat weed, damiana, muira puama and ginkgo) plus two vitamins, niacin (B3) and vitamin E. A bottle holds 60 capsules, one month of use. According to the official website, it is made in the USA following good manufacturing practice (GMP).
In the EU, only the two vitamins in the formula have authorised health claims: niacin contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress2.
For the plants, the claims are still "on hold" in the official EU register1, and US supplement claims are not evaluated by the FDA either. So we do not repeat the sales pages' promises about performance. What can be checked is the formula: two capsules deliver 1,531 mg of plant extracts and inosine, plus 75 mg of niacin and 13 mg of vitamin E.
Let's be realistic: no supplement guarantees results. Age, sleep, diet, exercise and overall health matter a great deal, and every man responds differently.
The formula
Tap an ingredient to see its dose. Every amount comes from the Supplement Facts panel on the label4; the vitamin percentages use the EU nutrient reference values (NRV)3.
- Hawthorn (fruit) – 250 mg: A hedgerow shrub with small red berries, common across Europe. Together with horny goat weed, it is the most heavily dosed ingredient.
- Horny goat weed (whole plant) – 250 mg: A plant from Chinese tradition, known there as yin yang huo.
- Damiana (leaf) – 200 mg: A small aromatic shrub from Mexico and Central America, whose leaves are traditionally brewed as a tea.
- Muira puama (root) – 200 mg: A shrub from the Brazilian Amazon, used there for its roots and bark.
- Ginkgo (leaf) – 120 mg: One of the oldest tree species known, native to China and easy to spot by its fan-shaped leaves.
- Asian ginseng (root) – 120 mg: The signature root of Korean and Chinese tradition, grown for several years before harvest.
- Tribulus (fruit) – 120 mg: A creeping plant of warm regions with spiny fruits, very common in men's formulas.
- Catuaba (bark) – 84.5 mg: The bark of a Brazilian tree, long used in the country's folk tradition.
- Saw palmetto (fruit) – 84.5 mg: A small palm from the southeastern United States, used for its berries.
- Niacin (vitamin B3) – 75 mg: A B vitamin. In the EU, it contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to the normal function of the nervous system.
- Inosine – 50 mg: A compound naturally present in the body and in some foods, such as meat.
- Oat straw (stalks) – 32 mg: The green stalks of the oat plant, harvested before the grain ripens.
- Cayenne pepper (fruit) – 20 mg: A red chili whose heat comes from capsaicin, included here in a small amount.
- Vitamin E (D-alpha tocopheryl succinate) – 13 mg: A fat-soluble vitamin. In the EU, it contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
The full ingredient list on the label reads: vitamin E (as D-alpha tocopheryl succinate), niacin (vitamin B3), hawthorn (fruit), epimedium (whole plant, Epimedium sagittatum), damiana (leaf), muira puama (root), ginkgo (leaf, Ginkgo biloba), Asian ginseng (root), tribulus (fruit), catuaba (bark), saw palmetto (fruit), inosine, oat straw (stalks) and cayenne (fruit). Other ingredients: rice flour, gelatin, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, maltodextrin and water. Contains soy.
How to take itTwo a day
Suggested use: two (2) capsules a day with water. Do not exceed this dose. A 60-capsule bottle therefore lasts one month.
- Take your capsules every day, at the same time
- Swallow them with a full glass of water
- Eat a varied, balanced diet
- Stay active and get enough sleep
- Store the bottle in a dry place below 30 °C (86 °F)
- Keep your expectations realistic
A dietary supplement is not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. The manufacturer recommends regular use for at least three months.
Side effectsIs it safe?
EloMaas contains plants, vitamins and a compound that are common in supplements. Individual intolerances are still possible: if you notice stomach upset or an allergic reaction, stop taking it and see a doctor. The capsules are made of gelatin and the product contains soy.
The niacin dose is high (469% of the NRV): in some people, niacin can cause temporary flushing and a feeling of warmth. Ginkgo can interact with blood-thinning medication.
The label says the product is not for anyone under 18 or for pregnant or nursing women, and advises talking to a doctor before you start, especially if you take medication or have a medical condition. Do not use it if the safety seal is damaged or missing, and keep the bottle out of reach of children. EloMaas is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Pharmacy or Amazon?Where you can find it
Many people look for EloMaas in pharmacies or on Amazon. When we checked on 19 October 2026, we did not find it on Amazon.de, and on Amazon.com we found no listing we could confirm came from the manufacturer. The manufacturer asks customers to buy only from the official website, to be sure of getting the original product.

Is EloMaas a scam?The facts
The men's supplement market is full of exaggerated promises. EloMaas's sales pages talk about performance in very enthusiastic terms; we do not repeat those promises. What matters is what is in the bottle: a dietary supplement with a fully disclosed formula, not a medicine.
Reassuring points
- Full formula, with the dose of every ingredient
- Identified distributor with a US address
- Payment through a well-known platform (BuyGoods), no subscription
- 90-day money-back guarantee
Worth knowing
- Delivery to the UK costs extra
- Return postage is paid by the customer
- Its claims have not been evaluated by the FDA
- Sold only on the official website
- Results vary from person to person
Our verdict: EloMaas is a dietary supplement with a transparent formula, not a treatment. It does not replace a balanced diet or medical advice. If you want to try it, buy from the official website to be covered by the 90-day guarantee, and factor delivery into the final price.

Studies cited
For each ingredient, we list two studies found in the scientific literature. The summaries describe what each study measured and found. They do not promise results: most of these studies are small or short, used doses different from those in EloMaas, and some found no effect.
Hawthorn (fruit)
Randomised, placebo-controlled trial in 79 people with type 2 diabetes in the UK, most of them already on blood pressure medicines. 1,200 mg of hawthorn extract a day for 16 weeks lowered diastolic blood pressure slightly more than placebo; systolic pressure did not differ, and no interaction with the medicines was seen.
Limitation: It measured blood pressure, not sexual function; the extract dose was almost 5 times the 250 mg of hawthorn fruit in EloMaas.
Walker AF, Marakis G, Simpson E, et al. Br J Gen Pract. 2006;56(527):437-43. PMID 16762125 · Read on PubMed
Cochrane review of 14 double-blind, placebo-controlled trials in people with chronic heart failure, mostly taking hawthorn on top of their usual treatment. Hawthorn improved maximal workload, exercise tolerance and symptoms such as shortness of breath and fatigue; side effects were infrequent and mild.
Limitation: People with heart disease, not healthy men; the trials used extracts of hawthorn leaf and flower, while EloMaas lists the fruit.
Pittler MH, Guo R, Ernst E. Cochrane Database Syst Rev. 2008;(1):CD005312. PMID 18254076 · Read on PubMed
Horny goat weed (whole plant)
Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 58 post-menopausal women. 740 mg a day of an Epimedium prenylflavonoid extract for six weeks. No significant adverse effects and no changes in liver, blood or kidney tests were found; bone markers changed only slightly.
Limitation: Studied women and focused on safety; it does not measure male sexual function, and it used 740 mg a day of a concentrated extract, while EloMaas has 250 mg of the whole plant.
Yong EL, Cheong WF, Huang Z, et al. Phytomedicine. 2021;91:153680. PMID 34352588 · Read on PubMed
Placebo-controlled crossover trial in 29 men with Gulf War Illness. Epimedium was tested at two doses, each for 30 days. Symptoms did not improve significantly compared with placebo at either dose.
Limitation: Small, specific population and preliminary results; it does not measure sexual function.
Younger J, Donovan EK, Hodgin KS, Ness TJ. Int J Environ Res Public Health. 2021;18(7):3671. PMID 33915962 · Read on PubMed
Note: Human evidence for Epimedium is scarce, and neither study found a positive effect on male sexual function.
Damiana (leaf)
Double-blind, placebo-controlled study in 77 women. After 4 weeks of a supplement combining damiana, ginseng, ginkgo, L-arginine, vitamins and minerals, 73.5% reported more satisfaction with their sex life, against 37.2% on placebo; no significant side effects were noted.
Limitation: Women only, and damiana was one of several active ingredients, so its own effect cannot be separated; the study does not give the damiana dose.
Ito TY, Trant AS, Polan ML. J Sex Marital Ther. 2001;27(5):541-9. PMID 11554217 · Read on PubMed
Double-blind, placebo-controlled study in 108 women aged 22 to 73 who reported low sexual desire, using the same combination (damiana, ginseng, ginkgo, L-arginine, vitamins and minerals) for 4 weeks. Desire and satisfaction improved more than with placebo, with differences by menopausal status.
Limitation: Same research group and same mixture as the study above, in women; it says nothing about damiana alone or about men.
Ito TY, Polan ML, Whipple B, Trant AS. J Sex Marital Ther. 2006;32(5):369-78. PMID 16959660 · Read on PubMed
Note: We found no trial of damiana on its own in people; both studies tested a mixture in women.
Muira puama (root)
Study in 202 healthy women with low sex drive who took a combination of muira puama and ginkgo for one month. Questionnaire scores improved from baseline in 65% of them, including desire, frequency of intercourse and satisfaction; tolerability was good.
Limitation: No placebo group, women only, and muira puama was combined with ginkgo; the authors themselves call the results initial.
Waynberg J, Brewer S. Adv Ther. 2000;17(5):255-62. PMID 11186145 · Read on PubMed
Laboratory study in young and ageing mice: a single dose of muira puama root extract improved memory retrieval in an avoidance test, and ageing mice performed as well as young ones.
Limitation: Animal study about memory, at 800 to 1,000 mg per kg of body weight by mouth; it does not show any effect in people or on sexual function.
da Silva AL, Piato AL, Bardini S, et al. J Ethnopharmacol. 2004;95(2-3):199-203. PMID 15507336 · Read on PubMed
Note: Muira puama is used traditionally as a tonic, but we found no trial of it alone in men.
Ginkgo (leaf)
Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 37 people with sexual problems caused by antidepressants, over 2 months. Both groups improved somewhat, and ginkgo did no better than placebo.
Limitation: Small trial in a specific group (people on antidepressants), with a negative result.
Kang BJ, Lee SJ, Kim MD, Cho MJ. Hum Psychopharmacol. 2002;17(6):279-84. PMID 12404672 · Read on PubMed
Triple-blind, placebo-controlled trial of 240 mg of ginkgo a day for 12 weeks in 24 men and women with sexual problems caused by antidepressants. Some individuals responded strongly in both groups, but there was no significant difference between ginkgo and placebo.
Limitation: Very small trial; the dose was twice the 120 mg in EloMaas, and the result was negative.
Wheatley D. Hum Psychopharmacol. 2004;19(8):545-8. PMID 15378664 · Read on PubMed
Note: Both controlled trials found no advantage of ginkgo over placebo for sexual function.
Asian ginseng (root)
Cochrane systematic review of 9 randomised trials comparing ginseng with placebo in men with erectile dysfunction. Ginseng had a trivial effect on the erectile function score, may have improved self-reported ability to have intercourse, and caused no more side effects than placebo.
Limitation: The authors rate the certainty of the evidence as low; the trials used different types and doses of ginseng.
Lee HW, Lee MS, Kim TH, et al. World J Mens Health. 2022;40(2):264-269. PMID 34169686 · Read on PubMed
Double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 143 men with erectile dysfunction: 1,000 mg of a tissue-cultured mountain ginseng extract twice a day for 8 weeks. Erectile function and overall satisfaction scores were higher than with placebo.
Limitation: Only 86 of the 143 men completed the trial; it used a different ginseng preparation at 2 g a day, more than 15 times the 120 mg in EloMaas.
Kim TH, Jeon SH, Hahn EJ, et al. Asian J Androl. 2009;11(3):356-61. PMID 19234482 · Read on PubMed
Tribulus (fruit)
Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 180 men aged 18 to 65 with mild or moderate erectile dysfunction, over 12 weeks. A standardised tribulus extract improved the erectile function score, desire and satisfaction more than placebo, with no difference in side effects.
Limitation: It used 1,500 mg a day of a concentrated, standardised extract, more than 12 times the 120 mg of tribulus fruit in EloMaas.
Kamenov Z, Fileva S, Kalinov K, Jannini EA. Maturitas. 2017;99:20-26. PMID 28364864 · Read on PubMed
Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 30 men aged 40 or over with erectile dysfunction: 800 mg of tribulus a day for 30 days. Both groups improved over time, but tribulus did no better than placebo for erections or testosterone.
Limitation: Small and short trial, with a negative result; the dose was more than 6 times the 120 mg in EloMaas.
Santos CA Jr, Reis LO, Destro-Saade R, et al. Actas Urol Esp. 2014;38(4):244-8. PMID 24630840 · Read on PubMed
Note: The two trials point in opposite directions: one positive with a high dose of a standardised extract, one negative.
Catuaba (bark)
Laboratory study in mice and rats: an extract of catuaba bark (Trichilia catigua) had an antidepressant-like effect in a swimming test, apparently through dopamine.
Limitation: Animal study, about mood and not about sexual function; it says nothing about effects in people.
Campos MM, Fernandes ES, Ferreira J, et al. Psychopharmacology (Berl). 2005;182(1):45-53. PMID 15991001 · Read on PubMed
Review of 74 Brazilian plants used in folk medicine for male sexual problems, catuaba among them. Only 14 had been tested in the laboratory, mostly in animals; the authors note that several different plants are sold as "catuaba", which leads to adulteration and conflicting results.
Limitation: Review of traditional use and animal studies, not of human trials; the EloMaas label does not say which plant species its catuaba comes from.
Teixeira TM, Boeff DD, de Oliveira Carvalho L, et al. J Ethnopharmacol. 2024;318(Pt A):116876. PMID 37437795 · Read on PubMed
Note: We found no human trial of catuaba.
Saw palmetto (fruit)
Cochrane review of 32 randomised trials with 5,666 men with urinary symptoms from an enlarged prostate. Saw palmetto was no better than placebo for urinary symptoms, night-time urination, urine flow or prostate size, even at double and triple doses.
Limitation: It is about the prostate, not sexual function or testosterone; the trials used standardised extracts, not 84.5 mg of fruit as in EloMaas.
Tacklind J, MacDonald R, Rutks I, et al. Cochrane Database Syst Rev. 2012;12:CD001423. PMID 23235581 · Read on PubMed
Updated Cochrane review of 27 trials with 4,656 men. Saw palmetto alone made little or no difference to urinary symptoms or quality of life, and probably made little or no difference to side effects.
Limitation: Same limits as above: urinary outcomes only, in men with an enlarged prostate.
Franco JVA, Trivisonno LF, Sgarbossa N, et al. World J Mens Health. 2024;42(3):518-530. PMID 38164033 · Read on PubMed
Note: The official website presents saw palmetto as an aid to testosterone production; neither review measured testosterone.
Niacin (vitamin B3)
Randomised, placebo-controlled trial in 160 men with erectile dysfunction and high blood lipids, over 12 weeks, with up to 1,500 mg of niacin a day. Erectile function improved in men with moderate or severe dysfunction; there was no improvement in mild cases.
Limitation: Pharmacological dose of up to 1,500 mg a day, 20 times the 75 mg in a daily serving of EloMaas; the placebo group also improved.
Ng CF, Lee CP, Ho AL, Lee VW. J Sex Med. 2011;8(10):2883-93. PMID 21810191 · Read on PubMed
Population study of 3,184 American adults (NHANES 2001-2004). Men with the highest dietary niacin intake were less likely to report erectile dysfunction than those with the lowest intake.
Limitation: Observational study, not a trial: it shows an association, not cause and effect, and it looked at food, not supplements.
Lin WL, Zheng C, Wang HX, Zhang W, Lin ME. Asian J Androl. 2024;26(4):382-388. PMID 38305697 · Read on PubMed
Inosine
Placebo-controlled crossover trial in 10 competitive male cyclists who took 5,000 mg of inosine a day for 5 days. Power, endurance and lactate did not improve; time to exhaustion in a sprint test was actually shorter than with placebo.
Limitation: Very small trial in athletes, with a negative result, at 100 times the 50 mg in EloMaas.
Starling RD, Trappe TA, Short KR, et al. Med Sci Sports Exerc. 1996;28(9):1193-8. PMID 8883009 · Read on PubMed
Double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover study in 9 trained endurance runners: 6,000 mg of inosine a day for 2 days did not change 3-mile run time or maximal oxygen uptake, and time to exhaustion was longer with placebo.
Limitation: Very small and old study, with a negative result, at 120 times the 50 mg in EloMaas.
Williams MH, Kreider RB, Hunter DW, et al. Med Sci Sports Exerc. 1990;22(4):517-22. PMID 2402214 · Read on PubMed
Note: Neither trial found a benefit for physical performance; both suggest it may even be slightly worse.
Oat straw (stalks)
Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial in 37 healthy adults aged around 67: 1,500 mg a day of a wild green oat extract for 12 weeks did not change any measure of cognition.
Limitation: It measured memory and attention, not sexual function or energy; the dose was about 47 times the 32 mg of oat straw in EloMaas.
Wong RH, Howe PR, Bryan J, et al. Nutrients. 2012;4(5):331-42. PMID 22690320 · Read on PubMed
Double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial in adults aged 40 to 65 who felt their memory had declined. A single dose of 800 mg of green oat extract made them faster in timed tasks and improved some memory and planning tests over the following hours.
Limitation: Short-term effect of a single dose on cognition, at 25 times the 32 mg in EloMaas; the extract maker took part in the study.
Kennedy DO, Jackson PA, Forster J, et al. Nutr Neurosci. 2017;20(2):135-151. PMID 26618715 · Read on PubMed
Cayenne pepper (fruit)
Review and meta-analyses of human studies on capsaicin, the pungent compound in chilli peppers. Capsaicin slightly increased energy expenditure and fat burning, especially at high doses, and tended to reduce appetite; the effects were small.
Limitation: It is about weight management, not sexual function; 20 mg of cayenne powder contains only a small fraction of the capsaicin doses studied.
Ludy MJ, Moore GE, Mattes RD. Chem Senses. 2012;37(2):103-21. PMID 22038945 · Read on PubMed
Meta-analysis of 9 human studies: capsaicin or related compounds increased energy expenditure by about 59 kcal a day and raised fat burning, but only in people with a BMI above 25.
Limitation: Few studies, weight-related outcomes only; nothing about sexual function or stamina.
Zsiborás C, Mátics R, Hegyi P, et al. Crit Rev Food Sci Nutr. 2018;58(9):1419-1427. PMID 28001433 · Read on PubMed
Vitamin E (D-alpha tocopheryl succinate)
Placebo-controlled study in men with low sperm motility in Saudi Arabia. Oral vitamin E lowered a marker of oxidative damage in sperm and improved motility; 11 of the 52 treated men (21%) got their partners pregnant, against none in the placebo group.
Limitation: Men with fertility problems, not sexual function; the PubMed summary does not state the dose, so it cannot be compared with the 13 mg in EloMaas.
Suleiman SA, Ali ME, Zaki ZM, et al. J Androl. 1996;17(5):530-7. PMID 8957697 · Read on PubMed
Randomised open study in 54 infertile men: 400 mg of vitamin E plus 225 µg of selenium a day for 3 months lowered a marker of oxidative damage in semen and improved sperm motility, unlike the comparison group, which took vitamin B.
Limitation: Not blinded, only 20 men completed it, vitamin E was combined with selenium, and the dose was about 30 times the 13 mg in EloMaas.
Keskes-Ammar L, Feki-Chakroun N, Rebai T, et al. Arch Androl. 2003;49(2):83-94. PMID 12623744 · Read on PubMed
